Sacred Pause Between Q&A
Christmas beach walk, tucked into Mother Nature embrace. Born in ancient warm seas and Great Lakes glaciers, this precious coral fossil is older than dinosaurs. Moved by winter storm, she crossed my path. An intersection of ancient times and present day, symbolizing the sacred pause between a life question and Divine answer.
Went to beach to walk off anxiety and seek answers. Answers for staying on current career path, or return to corporate world. Answers to stay here, or move again. I wanted answers. God brought me a Petoskey stone.
On my walk, I looked down at just the right time, and found the Petoskey stone. Didn’t get answers to my questions. But, God answered me.
Answer echoed from Bible verse I found in 1996, when boyfriend moved to Boston and I wanted answers about our relationship. Then years later, wondering about leaving corporate world and moving to Nashville. Many more times since, questions about relationships, career change, and many moves.
Every time, in perfect timing, I received an answer. The answer, time and time again, and again and again. “Wait for the Lord. Be still and and take heart, and wait for the Lord”. Psalm 27:14 Today, same verse. Same promise. Same answer to current questions, found on Lake Michigan shore. Wait. Be still. Take heart. Wait.
Although I think the timing to present life questions is too slow, I believe in the wait. Waiting now, is the answer, for now. A chance to once again trust divine blueprint. To believe in perfect plan.
And, surrender to same path as this Petoskey stone. A path that in divine timing, guides me to intersection of my questions, and God’s answer.
For anyone needing hope while waiting for answers, reach out. I will listen and write you back. I will pray for you on beach walk. And if I find a Petoskey stone, mail it to you. An ancient reminder to wait in expectant hope. To surrender to tides of change by resting in the stillness between your breaths. Take heart and wait for divine answer, which is already there, just waiting for you to discover in intersection of the sacred pause.
